Radio Bits – July 21, 2008
Rain this week is a welcome reprieve from the hot blazing sun of recent days. Not only is it a treat for gardeners and everyone with buckets, watering cans and soaker hoses, but the gardens are loving it. Produce is bursting forth. Our strawberry season comes to an end today—it has been one of the longest seasons for strawberries here at the Market. Coming now are the cherries, we are supplied by Noggins Corner Farm in the Annapolis Valley. Raspberries are just starting to come—if you don’t want to be disappointed give us a call and place your order for fresh raspberries this week. Hodge Podge fixin’s are here now—time for that favourite Lunenburg County treat. You’ll find plenty of good eating ideas at Wile’s Lake Farm Market.
