Our bakers arrive every morning at 5am to start their day.  We bake bread every day and use the rest of the time to make donuts, muffins, cookies, pies and other treats.  Our bakery is becoming something of a rarity in this world as we make most of our products from scratch using traditional recipes adapted to our needs.  

Our most popular bread is our white bread and our brown bread, followed by raisin bread.  Our brown bread is based on the old Nova Scotia recipes using rolled oats and molasses.  We make a wonderful whole wheat bread which is nutty and delicious hot from the oven.  This variety freezes extremely well.  We make a Country Seed Bread featuring flax and sunflower seeds with bran and whole wheat flour.  This is made to resemble a European style loaf and has been a big hit with our customers since we introduced it in 2008.

Our donuts are a specialty and all of us who work at the Market love the mornings when there are hot donuts for morning coffee break.  

Our Cranberry Orange Muffins and our Pecan Applicious Muffins are made from our own recipe developed and tested on our customers.  These muffins are best sellers next to our Carrot and Blueberry.  We have cookies and biscuits, apple strudels, cinnamon twirls (fabulous light biscuit dough rolled with cinnamon and brown sugar and topped with icing), carrot cake and our sinfully delicious chocolate brownies.  If you need a treat for a meal we have a wonderful selection of pies and perfect with tea or coffee is lemon loaf.

We take great pride in our bakery and have sent cookies to Florida and raisin bread to northern Alberta and British Columbia!  A taste of home for some homesick Maritimers.
